What People Are Saying

What a year you have had! You are a remarkable group. Local media coverage of your exploits has been plentiful, and you have brought UMKC national notoriety with your entrepreneurship skills.

Leo Morton Chancellor, University of Missouri-Kansas City

Everything the Enactus team does is representative of the innovative and entrepreneurial mindset the Bloch School strives to instill in our students. Particularly meaningful was the China project. This was more than a tourist visit – it was a deep experience. The close work with the local people was meaningful and relationship-building. It forges a positive relationship between U.S. & China that will be important in years to come, and brings Chinese students to the U.S. to study.

David Donnelly, Ph.D. Bloch School Dean and Professor, Department of Accountancy

I am proud of all the UMKC students, from several Schools, that participated at these competitions. I am convinced that the interdisciplinary nature of our Enactus team is a major key to its success and very glad that School of Computing & Engineering students have been involved in this exciting UMKC student organization.

Thank you for increasing the reputation of UMKC and its students among those in industry. Our UMKC students and faculty are fortunate to have each of you as their colleagues.

Kevin Z. Truman, Ph.D. Dean, School of Computing and Engineering

I have had the opportunity to watch UMKC’s Enactus team grow from a team of one to a team that competes with the best at nationals in a few very short years. More importantly I’ve watched the team members grow in experience, leadership and poise. This team now represents college life to high school students and America to Chinese students. Through teamwork, Enactus has created new opportunities to grow and has gone on to be ambassadors for UMKC in the world. The team is a great asset to UMKC.
